We are very sorry to share the sad news of the death of Mr Clive Rushton (OS 1956) who died on 15th April 2024.
Clive was educated at Stockport Grammar School from 1949 - 1956 and subsequently at Manchester University where he gained his law degree. He worked as a solicitor in Stockport for over forty years and also chaired the Immigration Appeals Tribunal in Manchester.
In 1978 Clive was appointed Coroner for Buxton and the High Peak area, a position he held for twenty five years until he retired due to ill health.
Clive was remembered by his sister Hilary who fondly remembers him teaching her how to ride a bike when they were children.
