Laura Wolfe is a mum, football fan and charity supporter.
Based in Manchester, she is founder of events and media relations agency, Road3 and Road3 Concierge, which looks after the lives of some of football’s biggest names.
Laura heads up the events programme at Women in Football, is responsible for the media relations and book launches of some of sports publisher’s, Pitch Publishing, biggest titles, having recently worked with Mike Calvin, Brian Horton, Brian Barwick, Olivier Giroud and Sir Geoff Hurst to name but a few.
Laura has also worked with the PFA, the Manchester FA, the Football Medicine and Performance Association, Kick It Out, the James Milner Foundation and the National Football Museum.
Laura says her “best job ever” was working with Vincent Kompany for 18 months, managing his entire Testimonial Season, including a fundraising dinner with Noel Gallagher and Gary Lineker, attended by Pep Guardiola and the entire Manchester City team, the Testimonial Game at The Etihad, attended by 55,000 fans and raising £850,00 for Andy Burnham’s homeless charity in Greater Manchester. As a City fan, that has to be the highlight of her career and proudest moment.
Ten years ago, Laura bought the rights to the Northwest Football Awards and has built one of the most respected and well attended footballing awards ceremony in the UK, hosted by Dan Walker, celebrating success on and off the football pitch from across the Northwest region.
Outside of football, Laura works with the Outward Bound Trust, managing fundraising events with names such as Russell Watson and the legend that is Sir Tom Jones.
Laura, a former “Insider Business 42Under42”, and winner of the Women in Business, Contribution to Manchester Award as well as the Chairman’s Special Award at the Downtown Manchester in Business Awards for Contribution to Manchester Business, began her marketing career with Merrill Lynch and ABN AMRO. She was appointed as regional director of the Institute of Directors (“IoD”) in the North West in 2003, turning the region into the highest performing IoD region in the country in under five years.
She is a regular on talkSPORT and BBC Radio Manchester, reviewing the weekend papers.
Laura is committed to giving back and is an ambassador for the Northwest Air Ambulance, an ambassador for the Diane Modahl Sports Foundation and organises a gala fundraising event for Maggie’s Cancer Centres each year. She was an ambassador for the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital for ten years.
She is a proud mum of two boys, Teddy the Cavapoo and is a passionate Manchester City supporter.
