Christopher H Willcock (OS 1948) died on 23rd April 2025. He was present at the 450th Anniversary Service at St Georges Church in 1937 before entering SGS in the September, and must have eventually become one of the few remaining OS who were at the School before, during and after the War. He took part in four School Plays and two Johnston Company productions. Military Service, mainly in Germany, was followed by a Degree in Modern History at Keble College, Oxford, and the Diploma in Education.
His first teaching appointment was as Assistant Resident Housemaster at the Royal Hospital School, Suffolk, before moving to Haverfordwest Grammar School in Pembrokeshire as Head of History and then Deputy Headmaster. In 1978 following Secondary Reorganisation he became First Deputy Head of Tasker Milward School and in retirement he acted as a Field Officer for his professional association in Dyfed Powys for eight years.
He had always kept in touch with the School and was able to attend several Remembrance Services as an Old Stopfordian.
