We were very proud to see former Stockport Grammar School pupil, Holly Hunt (OS 2015), make her England Hockey debut and score her first international goal over the weekend.
Sharon Withington, Head of Hockey at SGS, reflected; “Holly was an outstanding and very influential player whilst at Stockport Grammar School. She was selected for the First XI whilst still in the Under 14s. She was three times a National Finalist and scored several of the goals when we were crowned champions. Whilst at Stockport Grammar School she played her club hockey for the National League side, Bowdon Hightown, and was awarded the Young Player of the Year Award by the Hockey sportswriters’ panel.
