The Stockport Grammar School SPA applauds the creativity, taste and determination of the Cookbook Committee, led by Robyn O’Donnell and Graphic Designer Lex Budd, who mixed and stirred to bring this epicurean collection of delectable treats to life. The collaborators and “master chefs” delighted in making their vision a reality. Once the project was announced, the entire SGS community – led by Mr Copping, Headmaster of the Junior School, and Sue Mullock, Head of Development – fostered the project; submitting recipes, cooking up favourite concoctions for tastings, and then sampling each other’s food. This cookbook compiles family recipes from parents, pupils, teachers, administrators, staff and alumni. Recipes range from the completely original to generational hand-me-downs to ones adapted from friends, books, TV and the internet. The tasting committee – headed by Lise Woodhead - made sure that the recipes are all as good as they look! Thanks to the efforts of all involved, this great cookbook is now yours to enjoy!
All the artwork has been created by our pupils. Although we cannot credit each artist individually, we want to thank the children from Pre-Reception through to Year 6 for their contributions, which truly make this book come alive.
We are pleased to say that 100 percent of the sales from this cookbook will be donated to the SPA and put towards the new kitchen garden project which will benefit all of our Junior School pupils, now and in the future. We hope you enjoy this book so much that you buy a few more copies as gifts for your family and friends!
