There wasn't a cloud in the sky over Stockport Golf Club for SGS's annual Golf Day on 19th June.
The 16 teams that were made up of parents, Old Stops and local businesses enjoyed an afternoon of Golf before dinner, an auction and raffle - all in support of SGS's Bursary Fund.
The School currently has 84 pupils who receive a bursary, and the guests at the Golf Day help do their part to raise vital funds to ensure that a SGS education is available to those who wish to attend - regardless of their financial circumstances.
Scoring was close, but the team from Belle Vue Coaches won the four ball team Stableford and the coveted trophy, HB Accident Repair came in second, and Ben Thorp's team took the bronze podium place. Congratulations to the David Huxley from the Vernon Building Society team and Nick Ford from the Littlewoods Butchers team, who won the 'Nearest the Pin' and 'Longest Drive' competitions.
Thanks to the generosity of the sponsors and teams on the day, just over £9,600 was raised for the Bursary Fund.
