Following on from the successful planning permission application in 2024, we are delighted to announce that the School intends to begin construction this summer on our new sports pavilion, reflecting our commitment to continuous improvement and excellence.
In July 2026 we plan to demolish the old pavilion (some Old Stops will even recall when it was first built!) and by the Autumn Term, contractors will have started on site to build our £6 million new Sports Pavilion, with completion scheduled for Autumn 2027. For more than six decades the current pavilion has served as the cornerstone of our school life - hosting matches, events, Old Stop sports matches and our Summer Reunion BBQ. It is now time to begin a new chapter, reflecting our commitment to improvement and excellence, ensuring facilities match the ambition and talent of our pupils today and in the future.
This pavilion is a symbol of ambition and progress – an investment in every pupil’s potential and a commitment to excellence that will stand for generations. It will create opportunities for every child to be active, build confidence, and feel part of a vibrant community, while showcasing talent and inspiring ambition.
This investment reflects our shared values and ensures world-class resources that nurture individual potential for generations to come.
This planned project reflects our five strategic objectives:
If you'd like to see the Pavilion one last time and help us give it the send off it deserves please join us for the next Summer BBQ Reunion on Saturday 27 June, 2026.
