Old Stopfordian Ben Finlay-McDougall (OS 2021) returned to Stockport Grammar School to deliver an in-depth and engaging ‘Spotlight On…’ talk entitled ‘A Rollercoaster Of A Journey – My Albert Johnston Travel Award Story’.
Ben, who is currently studying at King's College London, spoke about how he adapted his original plan due to the Covid pandemic – making his trip European-based instead of travelling to Japan.
He reviewed the various theme parks he visited, offered tips to others who are thinking about travelling and applying for the Travel Award and gave his thoughts on planning a pitch. He also looked deeper into the theme park industry and the types of #jobs that are potentially on offer.
Thank you for sharing with us Ben, we're excited to see where the experience takes you!
