One of the great after-school activities for me was the Arts and Crafts Society. We got to go to many interesting places to see how things were made, for example, a flour mill, and a sand-casting facility that made very large drive wheels for steam locomotives.
One in particular that we looked forward to was Robinson's brewery as we were (then, maybe not these days) allowed to taste the product after seeing how it was made.
Fast forward to 2022 and lunchtime in a restaurant in the small town of Blowing Rock, in the mountains of North Carolina. They were offering sample of a new beer that had just started to carry. The beer was named TROOPER. I liked it, and ordered a can. To my surprise, and as you may by now have guessed, it was from Robinson's.
A little taste of Stockport. Thank you, Robinson’s, and for how great you made the air smell on Founders Day!
