Bursary Fund |
The sun was shining and the course looking excellent as the Stockport Grammar Bursary Golf Day teams took to the fairway at Stockport Golf Club on Thursday 16th June.
The annual event, in association with Brewin Dolphin is a fantastic opportunity for relaxed networking with friends and contacts whilst raising money for the School’s Bursary Fund.
It is Stockport Grammar School's goal to offer as many local children as possible the opportunity to come to the school regardless of their ability to pay by supporting their education with a means-tested bursary. The Bursary Golf Day, celebrating its 16th event donates all of the day’s profits to supporting the Bursary Fund.
Golfers embarked on a round of 18 holes in the fine summer sunshine, cold refreshments at the Half Way Bar sponsored by Lexus Stockport were welcomed and kept the teams on track for a record scoring year.
Congratulations to the team from 10architect who won the competition, Littlewoods Butchers who came second, AC Electrical in third and Care Needs Ltd in fourth place. Congratulations also to Adrian Maxwell who won the Longest Drive at the 10th, to James Littlewood who won the Nearest the Pin at the 16th.
