We are delighted to share that the next Careers Convention will be at Stockport Grammar School on Thursday 2 October 2025. This event that occurs every two years is a key part of the School's carefully planned programme of Careers Education. In 2023, 300 pupils and parents from 4th, 5th and 6th year attended, with 76 delegates representing 21 universities and 40 companies there on the day to answer questions from those wishing to explore their chosen career.

This year, we are looking to get as many Old Stops involved as possible, so if you would like to showcase your profession, or would like to volunteer your advice, we can't wait to hear from you. If you choose to help, you will be allocated a table/stall, and attendees will travel through the convention, asking questions on a one to one basis to stall holders.

For the Careers Convention, we welcome interest in participating from all career sectors. Examples of career sectors of particular interest to current pupils are listed below:

  • Accountancy
  • Architecture and Design
  • Business and Administration
  • Corporate Finance and Investment Banking
  • Engineering and Manufacturing
  • Law
  • Medicine/Dentistry/Veterinary
