It's our 550th anniversary in 2037. The journey towards that starts in 2025...

2023-2024 was a wonderful year for giving at SGS. £1,208,911 was spent on bursaries last year, making a difference to the education of 84 pupils.

In our latest report, we take a look at the funds raised to support current pupils, the gifts of time that our alumni and volunteers have given, as well as how you can help the next year be even better for SGS as we move closer to our 550th anniversary in 2037.

You can take a closer look at our philanthropy report online, or you just might receive a copy in the post soon.

We want young people to apply to SGS with the confidence that support can be available when needed. It's a challenging time for many people, but if you can give what you can to the Bursary Fund, we would be most grateful. Gifts by Direct Debit help us plan for the future and reduce our admin costs.

Later in 2025, we will be sharing more information about our plans to celebrate 550 years of SGS in 2037 but in the meantime, if you have any suggestions for how to make 2037 a year to remember, you can email oldstops@stockportgrammar.co.uk.

Thank you for making this a great year for SGS.
