Old Stop John Turner's (OS 1961) latest Recorder project is certainly a special one. Recorded for the wedding of his goddaughter this month, the audio recording features a variation of a well-known wedding song: Here Comes the Bride.
The Recorder soloist - who has played with the Halle Orchestra, the Royal Liverpool Philarmonic Orchestra and Manchester Camerata to name a few - is about to release a new record titled 'A Few More Suprises'. His unique and captivating piece 'Wedding Notes' will appear on the record alongside some previously unrecorded pieces by former SGS staff member, Douglas Steele.
