Knutsford Golf Course once again played host to the annual Stockport Grammar School v King’s Macclesfield Golf Tournament.
The tournament has been a fixture in the golfing calendar since the 1960s, with alumni from both schools battling it out on the green to be crowned that year’s champion.
The players tee’d off on May 10 and enjoyed warm and dry weather.
Despite being last year’s victors, SGS were bested by King’s Macc this year, with the players from King’s Macc securing the win by a few points.
Andy Roberts (OS 1983), said: “A great day was had by all! We look forward to the next encounter and will be redoubling our efforts."
The Golf Society is now looking ahead to the Inter Oldies at Bramhall Golf Club in July.
