Those who tuned in to BBC Two over the festive period may well have enjoyed the incredible talent of Henry Brearley (OS 2015) as he performed with the King’s Choir during the 'Carols from King's' service, broadcast at 6.40pm on Christmas Eve.
This wonderful celebration of Christmas was held in the candlelit chapel of King’s College, Cambridge, led by the dean, the Reverend Dr Stephen Cherry, with the world-renowned choir under the direction of Daniel Hyde.
Founded in the fifteenth century, The Choir of King's College, Cambridge is undoubtedly one of the world's best known choral groups. Henry continues his fantastic work as the King’s Choir Bass Lay Clerk.
Henry made a significant contribution to the musical department during his time at SGS and continues to support current pupils. In January 2023, we were extremely grateful for his time in assisting with a tour of King’s during a school visit to Cambridge.
