The Lakes, a The Lakes is a four-piece indie band made up of Fifth Year Stockport Grammar School pupils Alfie Anderson (drums), Gideon McDermott-Swann (electric guitar), Marcus Foster (vocals) and Thomas Mo (bass guitar). The band has just released their latest single, ‘Saving Grace’.
The musicians, who won last year’s Douglas Steele Award and have been together since Junior School and performed at The Spinning Top at the weekend. They are also looking forward to performing at the Chorlton Arts Festival in May.

The quality of young bands we see here is extremely high. The Lakes are certainly no exception. Great set of original material and supportive parents. Well done all!!
