Stockport Grammar School was ranked as number 10 in The Times best UK Independant Secondary Schools in the Northwest for 2026. 

This incredible achievement celebrates the ambition, talent, and dedication of everyone who makes our school shine – our incredible pupils, parents, teachers, Old Stops', support teams and beyond. We’re proud to stand alongside nine other outstanding schools in the region, all committed to delivering exceptional education. Thank you to the entire SGS community for making this possible!
