Thank you to Old Stops Ben Pearse, Jake Thorley, Ruby Harrison & Alex Whylie from the Class of 2020 who visited to discuss life beyond Stockport Grammar School with Lower Sixth Form pupils earlier this month.
Ben is studying Economics at the University of Nottingham, Jake studies 3D Design at Northumbria University, Ruby studies Business at the University of Liverpool and Alex is studying law at the University of Nottingham.
Pupils were able to ask them about everything from student living arrangements, placements, pupil support, workload, budgeting, societies and even student nightlife!
The Q&A forms part of the SGS Higher Education Conference for the Lower Sixth Form, which is a two day programme of support to help them prepare for the University application process and life beyond SGS, whatever direction they wish to take. Contact with the Stopfordian community is just one of the many benefits pupils receive as part of this process.
